WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS OF PEELS?
Results may differ from person to person and certain sessions are required.

ARE THERE ANY DOWNTIME OR SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH PEELS?
Yes, there is downtime. Please follow your practitioner’s instructions.
No swimming. Avoid any events, chemical peels need to be done after two weeks. Avoid Botox or Fillers, 4 weeks before or after, or any other procedures in the area.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE AND AFTER PEELS TREATMENT?

Before Your Chemical Peel

  1. Consult with a Skincare Professional: Determine the best type of peel for your skin.
  2. Stop Using Retinol and Exfoliants: Avoid these products at least 48 hours before the peel.
  3. Moisturize Your Skin: Use a gentle, non-irritating moisturizer.
  4. Protect Your Skin from the Sun: Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
  5. Take Care of Wounds or Infections: Inform your provider about any issues before the peel.

 

What to Avoid Before Your Chemical Peel

  1. Don’t Shave or Wax: Avoid these activities for at least 24 hours before the peel.
  2. Don’t Use Tanning Beds or Self-Tanners: Avoid these for at least two weeks before the peel.
  3. Don’t Pick at Your Skin: Refrain from irritating your skin.
  4. Don’t Use Harsh Skincare Products: Avoid harsh products for at least 48 hours before the peel.
  5. Don’t Apply Makeup or Products: Avoid makeup and other products on peel day, and avoid wearing makeup during the procedure.

 

After Your Chemical Peel

  1. Avoid Tanning: Don’t tan while your skin is healing.
  2. Apply Daily Sunscreen: Use sunscreen once your skin heals.
  3. Moisturize Your Skin: Keep your skin moist to prevent scarring.
  4. Follow Post-Treatment Instructions: Follow your doctor’s instructions to avoid complications.
  5. Avoid Scratching: Scratching could lead to infection.
  6. No Makeup for a Week: Avoid makeup for a week after the peel.
  7. Plan Ahead for Events: Get a peel at least 14 days before any events.

 

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING PEELS TREATMENT?

Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed during a chemical peel treatment before the peel solution is applied. Mild tingling may occur. Depending on the type of peel. Post-treatment, it’s essential to avoid sun exposure and direct sunlight after chemical peels, use Cetaphil or Ceravee cleanser or deep cleansing soap only, and keep your skin moisturized (Cetaphil moisturizer or Ceravee healing cream, both AM and PM, no makeup until the next seven days. No perfumed products). Use sunscreen SPF30-50 only (No perfumed sunscreens). Initial redness and peeling are expected for 7 days to 14 days. Do not use any products that are not recommended by the practitioner, give time for your skin to heal. Any reactions like swollen eyes, or itching after 3-4 days must contact the office. Do not use products from previous sessions.
